Tender hearts club
Lately, I’ve felt very called to embrace the medicine of tenderness and sensitivity.
Have you seen my keys?
Today I got locked out of my apartment.
Years ago, this would have been a prime opportunity for me to berate myself for forgetting my keys and be overall angry at myself and the world for conspiring to keep me out of my home.
Springtime magic
When I was a kid, I remember being told that I was “too sensitive” on many occasions.
Being seen
Last winter I co-facilitated a workshop with my dear friend, Rianne Vestuto, and during our preparations she said something really profound that stuck with me. She said, “It’s so vulnerable to lead.”
Restoring balance
Happy 13th day of March! I’ve been seeing the number 13 a lot today, which is a number associated with the divine feminine. One of the most profound keys to healing is to simply re-connect to the divine feminine within.
Being a channel
My first memory of moving energy was as a kid—directing pain from my body outward onto my bed. I saw my discomfort as tiny particles of lights and I was pleasantly surprised to feel relief.
Song Circle
When we gather on the full moon with the intention of healing, pure magic is made manifest. I’ve experienced this time and time again.
The antidote
We are all energetically sensitive beings. But most of us have subconsciously learned to dull our sensitivity in order to cope with a world that feels overwhelmingly harsh.
Why heal in community?
In many ways, I’ve considered myself a bit of a lone wolf—an outsider. But haven’t you felt that way, too?
Unfolding your voice
Did you know that your voice is a snowflake? Every single voice is unique due to your genetics, the dimensions of your face, and the shape of your body. No one on Earth has a voice like yours.
Calm is cumulative
With the turn of the calendar year, we may be tempted by the idea of sudden transformation. While that is absolutely possible, more often than not, profound change happens over time, and with consistency and frequency.
Conscious City Guide 2024: Energetic Well Review
The following review was published in the 2024 Conscious City Guide.
Pure potential
This week we arrive at the Winter Solstice, the day when our Northern Hemisphere tilts as far away as possible from the sun. Also called Midwinter, this is the shortest day and the longest night of the year for those of us in the north.
Grief is only love
I recently met singer-songwriter Stephen Wilson Jr. at his concert on the Lower East Side. We talked about sound healing and I explained how different instruments create unique vibrations that reach distinct areas of the body—physically and energetically.
