The Energy of July: Remembering Primordial Breath

Metamorphosis has always been part of life on planet Earth.

About 390 million years ago, ocean-dwelling vertebrates began a massive leap from living underwater to pioneering our existence on fertile land.

How did they do it and why?

Did one rebellious fish decide they wanted a better look at what was above the surface? They figured out their fins could propel them forward on land? And somehow adapted to breathing in air?

Humans can hypothesize and theorize about what caused this great migration, but one thing we know for sure is that this bold move succeeded.

What does it really take to transform?

Here in the northeast, we’re experiencing the annual apex of flowers and plant life coming into abundant bloom. We witness these continual miracles that began as tiny seeds that have metamorphosized into trees and blossoms.

You, too, are metamorphosis in motion.

You, too, are capable of great leaps.

No matter your age, education, or life circumstance—transformation is in your DNA.

The miracle of metamorphosis is your birthright.

That may sound overwhelming.

But you’ve done it before.

And you can do it again.

All you need to do is create space for intentional stillness, remember your primordial breath, and begin again.
