Crashing into the collective consciousness

Our car got rear-ended on the July 4th holiday weekend in our neighborhood in Queens, New York City. Fortunately, we were all fine and the car will be ok… but it made me wonder, why this crash from the rear would happen so forcefully while we were stopped at a red light?

What does it mean energetically?

In a year that has shown us the damage that can be done when the collective consciousness is centered on fear and lack, what is the antidote?

After we drove home, my kid commented, “Mami, I’m surprised you didn’t yell at the guy.”

I said, “Why would I yell at him, amor? I don’t think he intentionally tried to hit us. He was clearly not paying attention and that’s reckless and dangerous, but he seemed to know that he really messed up, so I didn’t think it’s necessary to say what he already knew.”

And so, it was revealed.

How do you talk to yourself (and others) within life’s inevitable mess-ups.

How often do you internally berate yourself for past perceived mistakes?

How deeply do you ruminate over former flubs?

We all have them. So why do we hold ourselves to impossible standards?

Ultimately, perhaps the medicine lies in forgiveness.

Forgiveness for yourself comes first.

When you forgive yourself, it becomes easier to release the vibration of fear and scarcity. And it’s easier to let go of stress and anxiety.

And this gently nudges the collective frequency toward love and compassion.

After all, healing begins with you.

You can begin by placing your hands over your heart.

Taking a deep breath.

Closing your eyes and saying “I forgive you.”
